Description:
Culms tufted, erect, to 60 cm; nodes glabrous. Leaf-blades 6-18 x 0.3-0.6 cm, smooth; ligule truncate, to 0.4 cm. Panicles to 20 cm, lax, open. Spikelets oblong-elliptic, to 0.3 cm; callus glabrous. Glumes ovate-oblong, 0.25-0.3 cm; lemma truncate, with 2 aristae and basally exerted awn; awn to 0.5 cm with a definite column; palea to 0.22 cm.
