Description:
Prostrate herbs, stem white villous. Leaves 3-4.5 x 2 cm, elliptic-oblong, apex sub-acute, hairy above, subsessile, ovoid. Head axillary, to 4, ovoid, sessile; bracts and bracteoles ca 2.5 mm, elliptic-lanceolate, spinescent; tepals outer 3 ca 4 mm, lanceolate, spinescent, inner two smaller; fertile stamens 5, filaments 1.5 mm, anthers oblong, pseudostaminodes strap shaped, longer than the filaments; ovary ovoid, style short. Seeds brownish, discoid.
