  Description: Diffuse herbs; branches sparsely hairy. Basal leaves 0.8-3.5 x 0.7-1.5 cm, ovate- orbicular, base cordate, apex rounded, apiculate; upper leaves to 5 x 1.8 cm, oblong to linear-lanceolate, base subcordate, apex acuminate, petiole to 6 mm long; stipules to 1.8 cm long, lanceolate, striate, scarious; stipels minute. Flowers in terminal racemes up to 7 cm long; pedicels c. 2 mm long. Calyx c. 4 mm long, equalling or slightly longer than the first joint of pod; segments linear, striate. Corolla pink to purple; standard c. 5 mm long. Staminal tube to 5 mm long; anthers uniform. Ovules many; style filiform, incurved at apex. Pods 1.3-2 cm long, subterete, not constricted between the joints, reticulately veined, joints 4-8.
