Description:
Climbing glabrous shrubs. Leaves alternate, 6-12 cm across, orbicular-cordate, deeply sinuate at base, obtuse at apex, pale green above, glaucous beneath; basally5-7 nerved radiate; petiole to 7 cm long; stipules leaflike, 2-lobed, reniform. Flower stalk is slender, four times as long as the leaf stalk. Flowers, 12-20 cm long, greenish, marked with dark purple. Corolla with a obovoid basal portion, ca. 5 cm long, woolly inside and the tube ascends obliquely from the sack, dividing into two very long lips. Capsule 3-5 x 3-4 cm, globose-pyriform, 6-ridged, dehiscing from the base, after dehiscence parachute-like; seeds numerous, broadly deltoid, flat, winged.
