Description:
Slender annuals. Leaves oblong-lanceate, 10 by 5 mm. Panicle of dense racemes, to 15 cm long; spikelets 5-6 mm long; pedicel 3-6 mm long, glumes oblong-lanceate; long-acuminate; lower glumes c. 3.5 mm long; upper glume c. 6 mm long; lower lemma 3-nerved; upper lemma densely scaberulous; awn to 1 cm long; setae 2, subequal; palea narrowly lanceate.
