Description:
Erect slender herbs, to 70 cm high. Leaves alternate, 4 x 3.5 cm, ovate, serrate, thinly hairy, rounded at base. Flowers in elongated branched racemes, 3-together at nodes; calyx 7 mm long, subulate; corolla campanulate, 8 mm long, lobes ovate-oblong, white; stamens 5, free; filaments dialated at base; ovary inferior, 3-celled; ovules numerous; styles cylindrical. Capsule 7 x 5 mm, dehiscing along sides; seeds many.
