Description:
Erect herbs, 50-70 cm high. Leaves to 15 x 1.5 cm, acute to acuminate at both ends, glabrous or thinly hairy; nerves 5-6 pairs, oblique. Racemes 1-3, terminal, interrupted. Flowers clustered; calyx 6 mm long, oblong, acute, glabrate, basely connate; corolla 20 mm long, violet, lobes obtuse; anthers obtuse at base, glabrous. Capsule 25 mm long, puberulus; seeds 4, cubical, rugose.
