  Description: Herbs, 30-70 cm high; stems strigose. Leaves to 5 x 3 cm, obovate, obtuse, glandular serrate, covered with simple and glandular hairs, nearly sessile. Heads 5 x 6 mm, in axillary and terminal thyrsiform clusters; peduncle strigose; bracts 5 mm long, linear, hairy; outer smaller. Bisexual flowers around 10, central; corolla 3 mm long, glandular. Female flowers many; corolla slender. Achenes ellipsoid, ribbed, hairy; pappus 3 mm long.
