Description:
Small annual herbs. Leaves to 3 x 0.7 cm, ovate, pubescent, one margin undulate; ligule with a row of hairs; sheath 3.5 cm, ciliate at the margins. Racemes alternately arranged on a central axis, to 10 cm; spikelets solitary, obovoid, 1.5 mm; lower glume 05. mm, ovate, bristles few at the base of the spikelets; upper glume ovate, 1.5 mm, mucronate, 3-5 nerved, puberulus; lowers floret empty; upper bisexual; lowers lemma 1.5 mm, ovate, 5-nerved; second lemma 1.5 mm, ovate, rugulose, coriaceous; palea 1.5 mm, 2 keeled, rugulose.
