Description:
Climbing shrubs. Leaves trifoliolate; leaflets to 12 x 8 cm, broadly ovate, acute or shortly acuminate. Flowers in axillary racemes, 10-15 cm long. Calyx hispid without, bilipped, tube c. 8 mm long, upper lip 2-lobed, lower 3-toothed. Petals lilac, standard 2 x 1.6 cm, wings 1.5 x 0.5 cm, keels 2 x 1 cm, curved. Staminal tube glabrous, anthers uniform. Pods c. 11 x 1.75 cm, flat, apiculate, pubescent.
