Description:
Shrubs, 2-4 m, branchlets hairy. Leaves 5-7 x 2-4 cm, elliptic or oblong, acute, coriaceous, stipular spines very small, cataphylls linear. Flowers axillary, solitary, 4-5 cm across; pedicels 4 cm long; sepals 4 in two whorls; petals 4, oblong, obovate, white with brown patches; stamens numerous, exserted, gynandrophore as long as or longer than the filaments, anthers dorsifixed; ovary 6 mm, ellipsoid, ovules few to many.
