Description:
Twiner; branchlets glabrous. Leaves ovate to ovate-lanceolate, to 12 x 3.5 cm, glabrous, base acute, apex acuminate; petiole to 2 cm. Cymes 1- to 5-flowered; peduncle to 1.5 cm; pedicel to 2.5 cm; bracts linear, 5 mm. Calyx-lobes 5, linear, 1 cm, glabrous. Corolla greenish with purple blotches near mouth of tube, and a purple band across the lobes within; tube to 4 cm, inflated below, narrow in the middle and gradually expanding towards the mouth; lobes 5, ovate, 1 cm, glabrous, apex acute. Outer corona of 5 bifid, hairy segments longer than staminal column; segments of inner corona linear, twice as long as the outer, tips straight. Follicles to 22 x 0.7 cm.
