Description:
Perennial liane. Leaves alternate, ovate, to 10 x 8 cm, chartaceous, base cordate, margin denticulate, apex acuminate, glabrous; petiole prehensile, to 4 cm. Corymbs terminal or in upper axils, to 12 cm wide; peduncle 5 cm. Capitula 9-12, homogamous, discoid, 5 mm wide. Involucre cylindrical; receptacle flat. Phyllaries c. 6, oblong-lanceolate, 5.5 x 1.5 mm. Pappus 6 mm. Corolla 2 mm wide; tube 4 mm; lobes 5. Stamens 5; anthers caudate, bases with sterile tailed auricles. Style arms papillose. Achenes cylindrical, 2.5 mm.
