  Description: Unarmed shrubs. Leaves alternate or subopposite, elliptic to lanceolate, rounded at base, crenate at margin, acuminate at apex, 8-12 x 3-4 cm, densely pubescent beneath when young; petioles 5-8 mm long, pubescent. Inflorescences thyrsoid or dichasial; peduncles 3-8 mm long, silky-pubescent. Flowers 5-6 mm long, pinkish; pedicels 3-8 mm long, silky-pubescent. Calyx campanulate; lobes 2-2.5 mm long. Petals 1-2 mm long. Disc 10-lobed. Ovary glabrous; styles 3-partite. Capsules globose, 6-8 mm; seeds oboviod, compressed.
