Description:
Profusely branched densely foliaceous shrubs. Leaves alternate, 4-11.5 x 1.8-5.5 cm, elliptic-ovate to broadly elliptic, base cuneate, margin serrate, apex acuminate, scabrid, thin-coriaceous; nerves 7-9 pairs; petiole to 1 cm long. Flowers dense, in trminal 4-12 cm long, scorpoid cymes. Calyx campanulate. Corolla white, c. 5 mm across. Berry 3 - 5 mm across, globose, red.
