  Description: Subshrubs, c. 1 m high; branches terete, glabrous, lenticellate or with white warts. Leaves alternate, simples, 13-20 x 4.5-8 cm, oblanceolate, cuneate at base, acute or apiculate at apex, glabrous above, sericeous below; midrib slightly raised above; lateral nerves 14-16 pairs; petiole pulvinus terete, c. 6 mm long, sericeous; stipules ovate, c. 2 mm long, caducous. Racemes axillary and terminal, to 25 cm long; peducles 3.5-4 cm long, glabrous; bracts ovate, c. 5 x 2 mm, ciliate at margins, cuspidate at apex; pedicels c. 5 mm long, glabrous; bracteoles 2, acicular, half-way below the pedicel, c. 1.25 mm long, glabrous. Calyx 6-7mm long; tube 2-3 mm long, thickly reticulate-veined; upper lobes ovate-lanceolate, c. 3 mm long, glabrous; lobes of lower lip lanceolate, c. 4 x 2 mm, glabrous. Corolla golden yellow; standard petal suborbicular, 1-1.2 x 1.1 cm, glabrous, claw2 c. 2 mm long, without callosities; wing petals elliptic, c. 1 x 0.6 cm long, obtuse at apex; claw c. 2 mm long, glabrous with inconspicuous lateral ridges; keel petals with twisted beak, c. 1 x 0.6 cm, ciliate at lower margin; claw c. 1.25 mm long. Stamens 10; staminal tube oblique, c. 6 x 4 mm, filaments 3-5 mm long; anthers dimorphic. Ovary sessile or subsessile, oblong, c. 6 x 2 mm, glabrous; ovules many; style geniculate, c. 8 mm long, pubescent at margins towards apex; stigma capitate, c. 0.25 mm. Pod narrowly ellipsoid, c. 5 x 1 cm, inflated; seeds 15-18, reniform, c. 4 x 3 mm.
