Description:
Large climbing shrubs. Leaves alternate; leaflets 8-13 x 4.5-5.8 cm, coriaceous, elliptic-oblong, shortly cuspidate; lateral veins 8-10 pairs; petiolules 4-10 mm long. Panicles 12-28 cm long, axillary and terminal, rachis and branchlets densely ferruginous. Flowers rusty-tomentose, 1.0-1.3 cm; pedicels 2-4 mm long. Calyx narrowly campanulate, 3-4 mm, 4-toothed. Petals red; vexillum 8-12 mm long, ovate-orbicular to obovate, vexillum and wings with deciduous silky pubescent on the back above; keels densely silky on the back. Staminal sheath 8-10 mm long. Pistil 9-11 mm, ovary densely pubescent, 3-4-ovuled. Pods turgid, 2.5-14.0 x 2.0-3.3 cm, reticulately veined, narrowly winged on the dorsal suture with an obscure one the ventral suture; seeds 1-3, reddish brown, oblong.
