  Description: Stem angled, glabrous. Leaves ovate or lanceolate, acuminate, base truncate or cordate, glabrous, to 11 x 5 cm; basally 7-ribbed, intercostae close and subscalariform; petiole to 5 cm long. Male flowers in to 12 cm long slender axillary spikes; flowers in verticils. Perianth lobes ovate, 1.5 mm long, glabrous. Stamens 6. Female spikes to 2 cm long, rachis stout. Fruit orbicular, obcordate, 2.2 x 3 cm, glabrous.
