Description:
Small trees; branchlets stout, terete. Leaves to 4 x 3 cm, obovate, obtuse or obtusely acute, attenuate to the base, coriaceous, margins recurved; nerves 10 or 11 pairs, subdistinct below; petiole 6 mm long. Flowers axillary, solitary or paired; pedicels 2 cm long, fulvous tomentose; calyx tube 3 mm long, campanulate; lobes 4, 4 x 5 mm, orbicular, tomentose outside; petals 10 x 8 cm, white, orbicular, ciliate; filaments to 7.5 mm long; disk broad, fulvous hairy. Berry 15 mm across, globose, crowned with persistent sepals.
