Description:
Shrubs, stem terete, lenticellate. Leaves opposite, to 5 x 3 cm, broadly ovate, acute, base clasping the stem, coriaceous, margins thickened, 5-ribbed from the base, sessile. Cymes terminal and axillary ; pedicels stout, 1 cm long; calyx winged, tube 4 mm, lobes 5 mm, acute; corolla tube 8 mm, lobes 2 x 0.7 cm, obovate, many nerved, apiculate; stamens 5, filaments 5 mm; ovary many ovuled, 7 mm, style 2 cm, stigma, globose.
