Description:
Stout shrubs; stem pubescent, 4-angled. Leaves to 4.5 x 2 cm, ovate, acute, membraneous, acute at base, pubescent below, scabrous above; nerves 3 pairs, near the base petiole 5 mm long; stipule ovate, teeth many, hispid. Panicles terminal 7 cm across, densely hirtus. Flowers shortly pedicelled or sessile, 9 mm long; calyx 3 mm long, lobes 1 x 1 mm, ovate, obtuse with a black gland at tip corolla tube 3 mm long, sparsely villous, within, lobes oblong, 3 mm long, pink; anthers 2 mm long, sessile attached at the middle of the corolla tube; style 6.5 mm long.
