Description:
Scandent shrubs. Leaves opposite, lanceolate, rounded at base, caudate-acuminate at apex, 8-15 x 4.5-5 cm, glabrous; lateral nerves 4-7 pairs, oblique to arcuate; petioles 0.5-1 cm long, glabrous. Flowers in axillary, 1.5-4 cm long, racemes, brown-tomentose, with a bract and a pair of bracteoles. Calyx 5-partite with a large gland outside partly on pedicel; lobes 2-3 mm long, unequal, hairy. Petals 5, ca 4 mm long, brown-tomentose, pale pink. Stamens 8-10, one much larger than the rest; filaments 0.5-2 mm long, connate at base. Ovary 3-loculed; style 1, ca 3.5 mm long, coiled; stigma capitate.
