  Description: Hispid creepers. Leaves 3-5-lobed, alternate, ca. 4 x 4 cm, cordate at base; lobes rhomboid, acute; petiole 4-5 cm long. Peduncle 2.5-5 cm long; bracts 1.5 x 1 cm, ovate, obtuse, 2-5 together, forming a capitate head; flowers 3 together; sessile. Sepals unequal, to 9 x 3 mm, acute, hairy; inner smaller. Corolla purple, 15 mm long, campanulate, glabrous. Staminal filaments unequal, inserted near the base of corolla tube. Capsule 6 x 6 mm, globose, puberulus in vertical lines; seeds pubescent, black.
