Description:
Large shrubs; young branches glabrous; internodes 1-3 cm long; stipule 6.5 mm long; glabrous on both the surfaces; cusp 4.5 mm long. Leaves opposite, 6-13 x 2.3-3.4 cm, oblanceolate or elliptic, apex acuminate, base acute, opaque, margins usually undulate, glabrous; lateral nerves 6-13 pairs; petiole 7-10 mm long. Cymes pubescent, corymbiform, contracted, dense-flowered, sessile or shortly peduncled; peduncle 5-13 mm long, pubescent; bracts 2-3 mm long, linear-ovate, acute, pubescent. Flowers to 45 per head, sessile or pedicelled; pedicel 1-1.5 mm long, sparsely pubescent; bracteole 1.9 mm long, linear, pubescent. Calyx-tube 1.1-1.5 mm long, glabrous; lobes 1.4-1.5 mm long, triangular, acute, longer than the tube, glabrous. Corolla-tube 26-30 mm long, glabrous; lobes 6-6.5 x 3 mm, obovate-oblong, glabrous. Staminal filaments 1 mm long; anthers 4 mm long. Style 27-33 mm long, glabrous; stigmatic arms 2.5-3 mm long.
