Description:
Large shrubs. Leaves opposite, 8-15 x 2.5-6 cm, elliptic to elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate at apex, attenuate at base; stipules ovate, 0.2-0.3 cm, with subulate tip. Cymes peduncled; peduncles 2.5-4 cm long; bracts leafy, 0.5-0.6 x 0.25-0.3 cm; bracteoles 0.3-0.4 cm long, lanceolate.. Inflorescence branches and flowers articulated. Calyx tube 0.1-0.15 cm; lobes 0.1-0.15 cm. Corolla pink; tube 0.8-1 cm long. Berry didymous, subglobose, 0.5-0.7 cm diam.; calyx tube persistent in fruits.
