Description:
Shrubs or climbers; stems puberulent or glabrous, armed with recurved prickles; stipules minute, scale-like, about 0.5 mm long, 0.5-1 mm wide; leaves bipinnate with main axis 20-40 cm long; pinnae 6-10 pairs, each pinna with about 10-18 leaflets; leaflets opposite or alternate, ovate to obovate-oblong, 1.1-2.8 cm long, 0.5-1.6 cm wide, rounded to retuse at the apex, asymmetrically rounded to cuneate at the base, puberulent to glabrous on both surfaces; inflorescences racemose or paniculate, axillary or terminal, many-flowered; bracts minute, caducous; flowers about 7-10 mm long on pedicels 8-15 mm long; calyx with sepals 6-10 mm long, ciliate; petals yellow, about 7-8 mm long; stamens exserted to about 7-17 mm long; ovules 4-6; fruit indehiscent, oblong or elliptic, compressed, 6-15 cm long, 2-3(-4) cm wide including a marginal wing about 6-8 mm wide along the dorsal suture, (1-)3-6 seeded; seeds ellipsoid, compressed, about 5-10 mm long, 3-5 mm wide, 1 mm thick.
