  Description: Small trees, 3-5 m high. Leaves opposite to subopposite, 12-20 x 2-4.5 cm, linear oblong to lanceolate, acuminate at apex, around at base, glossy above; nerves 20-30 pairs, close and parallel, vein reticulations raised below, midrib hairy at base. Flowers in short axillary 1-3 cm long, racemes, polygamous. Calyx 4-lobed, 0.05-0.1 cm, hairy outside. Petals 4, oblong, 0.15-0.2 cm, brownish. Disc 4-lobed. Stamens 4, attached between lobes of the disc; filaments hairy at base. pitillode present in male flowers. Ovary 0.2-0.3 cm across, ovoid, 1-celled; ovules 1 in each cell; stigma capitate. Drupe globose, 0.3-0.5 cm diam.; stylar apex persistent in fruits.
