Description:
Small shrubs, bushy-branched. Stem scabrid with short and long hairs mixed. Leaves small, 0.8-1.5 x 0.6-1 cm, elliptic, acute at apex, attenuate at base, 3-ribbed, upper side with stout and slender hairs mixed, all adnate except for mucronate tip, lower side with long hairs on ribs and short ones on lamina. Cymes terminal, 1-3 flowered. Calyx tube 0.5-0.6 cm, campanulate; lobes 5, 0.2-0.25 cm, ovate lanceolate, ciliate on margins, tube with simple hairs; appendage with 3 bristles. Petals purple, 0.6-0.8 x c. 0.3 cm. Stamens 10; anthers 0.5-0.6 cm long; style exserted, 1-1.2 cm long; ovary topped with stiff tufted hairs. Capsules cylindric, 0.4-0.5 cm long, 0.3-0.35 cm diam.
