Description:
Tall shrubs; branches densely scabrid. Leaves to 18 x 3 cm, lanceolate, acute, 3-5-nerved, hairy; hairs adnated and spreading from the midrib. Flowers many, in terminal panicled cymes; pedicels 4 mm long; calyx tube 8 mm long, bristles 4 or 5 in a tuft, to 3 mm long; lobes 11 x 5 mm, lanceolate, ciliate; petals 20 x 10 mm, obovate, anthers 7 mm long. Seeds 0.5 x0.3 mm obovoid, minutely muriculate.
