Description:
Large shrubs to small trees. Leaves to 30 cm long, 1-pinnate, leaflets opposite, 5-6 paired, 12 x 4 cm, elliptic-oblong, acuminate, entire, petiolulate; petiole sheathing at base. Umbels in axillary or terminal panicles, 30-50 cm long; bracts lanceolate. Flowers 4-5 mm across, 6-12 together, pedicellate; calyx lobes 5, ovate, acute; petals brown, 3 x 2 mm, ovate, acute, valvate; stamens 5, filaments shorter than anthers; ovary 5-celled, inferior; styles 5, free. Fruit a 5-angled globose berry.
