Description:
Climbing shrubs with tendrils; branchlets angular. Leaves decussate, 2-foliolate; petioles to 1.5 cm long; leaflets 4-6 x 3-4 cm, ovate-lanceolate, rounded at base. Flowers in corymbose cymes, drooping, dense, rachis 10 cm long. Calyx 8 x 6 mm, caampanulate; lobres 5, small. Corolla crimson-orange; tube 6-7 cm long, limb 2-lipped, lobes of upper lip 2 cm long and of lower lip 1.5 cm long. Stamens 4, didynamous, exserted, filaments 3 and 4 cm long, curved basally.
