Description:
Large dichotomously branched shrubs. Leaves usually ternate, 4-10 x 2-3.5 cm, elliptic lanceolate, acuminate at apex, attenuate at base. Cymes axillary, dichotomously branched. Peduncles slender, 3-8 cm long. Flowers small. Calyx lobes 5, 0.2-0.3 cm long. Corolla pinkish white; tube 0.4-0.5 cm long, inflated below the throat at attachment of stamens; throat villous; lobes 5, 0.1-0.15 cm long. Stamens 5, included. Disc cupular. Carpels connate half way up; ovules 2; style united except at base; stigma capitate, 2-fid at tip. Drupes partially connate, each 0.5-0.6 cm long, 0.3-0.5 cm wide, ovoid, beaked, purple on ripening; seeds 1-2, rugose.
