Description:
Erect shrub; branchlets ending in a spine. Leaves fascicled, elliptic, to 4 x 1.5 cm, chartaceous, puberulous below; nerves 3 or 4 pairs, base acute, margin serrulate, apex acuminate; petiole 1.2 cm; stipules lanceolate. Fascicles to 1 cm, axillary, to 10-flowered. Flowers 3 mm wide; pedicel 5 mm; bract ovoid. Calyx-lobes 4, ovate. Petals 4, yellow, obovate. Disk 0. Stamens 4. Ovary globose, 2-celled; styles 2; stigma capitate. Drupe 6 mm wide, 2-celled; pyrenes 2.
