Description:
Diffuse subshrub; branchlets with deciduous white tomentum. Leaves narrow, oblong-lanceolate, to 9 x 2 cm, base truncate, margin crenate, apex acute, white tomentose below; petiole to 1.3 cm. Racemes to 15 cm; verticils interrupted. Calyx violet to purple, 1 x 0.6 cm, densely woolly without, upper lip entire, lower one equally 2-fid. Corolla white, 1.8 x 0.7 cm wide, throat swollen, limb lanate. Stamens 2; staminodes 0. filaments 4 mm, connectives deflexed, 6 mm, articulate. Ovary 4-celled and lobed; ovule 1 per cell, basal; style 2 cm, pubescent. Nutlets 4, ovoid, compressed.
