Description:
Climbing or scandent shrubs, tendrils simple. Leaves opposite, bifoliolate; leaflets 5-11 x 3-6 cm obovate, bluntly short-acuminate, attenuate at base, often one leaflet is reduced and smaller in size; peiolule to 5 mm long. Flowers in axillary or terminal corymbs or sometimes solitary. Calyx cupular-campanulate, truncate, 6-12 x 3-7 mm. Corolla purple to magenta, 8-9 cm long, the mouth white with magenta markings; lobes 5, obovate, subequal. Stamens included with in the corolla tube.
