Description:
Erect viscous pubescent herbs. Leaves all or the upper alternate, 2-6 x 1-1.8 cm, spathulate-oblong, base attenuate, margin subentire, apex obtuse; petiole to 1 cm long. Spikes to 7 cm long, cylindric. Lower bract leaf-like, linear-spathulate, upper smaller; bracteoles 2, c. 4 mm long, linear, tomentose. The larger calyx lobe c. 7 mm long, others c. 4 mm long, pubescent. Corolla bluish-purple, 5-8 mm long, pubescent, tube cylindric. Stamens 4; cells divergent, ovoid. Capsule 4-6 mm long, oblong, glabrous. Seeds smooth, globose.
