Description:
Subshrubs; branches terete, glabrous. Leaves simple, opposite, 8-12 x 2-3 cm, elliptic, caudate acuminate, glabrous, margins entire; lateral nerves 8 pairs. Spikes 1.5 x 2 cm, axillary, solitary or 2-3 together, peduncled; peduncle to 3 cm long; involucral bracts smaller than floral bracts, linear; floral bracts 20 x 2 mm, linear, obtuse, glandular-hairy; bracteoles 3, linear; flowers few. Calyx 7 mm long, lobes linear-oblong, hairy. Corolla 22 mm long, blue, tube narrow at base, with two patches of hairs at throat. Staminal sheath hairy.
