Description:
Large shrubs; stems terete; branchlets adpressed-white woolly. Leaves to 15 x 6 cm, ovate, acuminate, entire, base acute, glabrous; lateral nerves 7-10 pairs. Spikes 3-5 cm long, interrupted, on trichotomously branched peduncle; bracts 2-4, 2 x 0.5 cm, lanceolate, glandular-hairy. Flowers few; calyx 7 mm long, lobes subulate, glandular-hairy; corolla 25 mm long, blue; staminal filaments glabrous. Capsule 16 mm long, stalked, glabrous; seeds orbicular, hairy.
