Description:
Bushy shrubs; branches reddish, glabrous. Leaves to 6 x 3 cm, elliptic, glabrous above, coriaceous. Spikes 3-5 cm long, cylindric, 2-5, on axillary peduncles; involucral bracts 2-3, elliptic, tomentose; floral bracts 12 x 4 mm, ovate-acuminate, tawny pubescent; bracteoles 7 x 1.5 mm, linear-lanceolate. Flowers many; calyx 10 mm long, lobes acuminate; corolla 25 mm long, blue, hairy.
