  Description: Shrubs, 1 m tall. Leaves simple, opposite, to 15 x 7.5 cm, elliptic, finely caudate-acuminate, base acute, shortly decurrent on the petiole, chartaceous, entire or subentire, glabrous above and white cottony tomentose below; lateral nerves ca. 11 pairs, reticulations faint; petiole to 6 cm long. Calyx ca 8 mm long, almost divided to the base, 5-lobed; lobes equal, linear-lanceolate, acuminate. Corolla tubular-infundibuliform, ca 2 cm long, pale lavender; cylinder base shorter, ca 6 mm long; ventricose portion gradually widening, ca 1.5 cm long, minutely hairy inside, 5-lobed; lobes broadly ovate, acute, ca 4 mm long. Stamens 2, included, glabrous; staminal sheath finely fimbriate; filaments ca 1.2 cm long, glabrous. Capsules minutely stalked, ellipsoid, acute, ca 1.2 cm long, thin- valved, excluded, glabrous; seeds 4, lenticular, ca 2.5 mm, acute at apex, hairy at the edge, black or brown; areole circular at base, glabrous on both faces.
