Description:
Large shrubs. Stem stout, white woolly when young. Leaves 5-7 x 1.5-2 cm, elliptic lanceolate, acute at apex, attenuate at base, white woolly on both sides when young, more below, upper side glabrous on ageing and tubercled rugose. Peduncles 8-15 cm long. Heads 4-5 flowered. Involucre bracts many-seriate, lower small, 0.1-0.2 cm long, subulate, cottony without; inner large, scaly, 0.3-0.5 cm long, ovate, puberulous without. Corolla pink; tube 0.4-0.5 cm long; lobes 4. Achenes 0.3 cm long, 3-angled, glabrous, yellow glandular on angles. Pappus 2-seriate; outer small, paleaceous, 0.1 cm long; inner white barbellate hairs 0.3-0.4 cm long.
