Description:
Large shrubs; stems white-woolly. Leaves clustered towards the tips of branchlets, to 8 x 2 cm, elliptic, acute at both ends, crenulate, rugose above, coriaceous, densely cottony-hairy below; petiole 5-10 mm long, stout. Cymes terminal, corymbose, to 10 cm across, branches stout, densely cottony-hairy. Heads 10 x 8 mm, subglobose, sessile, densely packed ; bracts to 7 x 2 mm, lanceolate, sharply acute, outer ones smaller, ovate, wooly. Flowers few; corolla 7 mm long, lobes oblong, acute, glabrous. Achenes 4 x 1.5 mm, oblong, 3-angled, smooth, glabrous, outer pappus 1 mm long, fimbriate; inner pappus 4 mm long, setaceous, white.
