Description:
Scandent woody climbers, prickles short, recurved. Leaves 5-9-foliolate; leaflets 10 x 5 cm, ovate, acuminate, rounded at base, crenate; nerves to 24 pairs, subparallel, reticulate at margin; petiole prickly. Panicle 5-8 x 3 cm, axillary, hirtus. Flowers 5 mm across, 4-merous; sepals 1 mm long, ovate, acute; petals 3 x 2 mm, ovate, obtuse; stamens 4, anthers cleft at base, with a sessile gland at apex; pistillodes 4, free with subulate tips; style 4, free, recurved. Capsule 8 mm across, 4-lobed.
