Description:
Straggling shrubs. Leaves whorled, 6-11 x 3-6 cm, elliptic or broadly oblong, base acute or attenuate, apex acuminate, subcoriaceous, lateral veins 12-14 pairs; petiole to 5 mm long. Flowers in terminal or axillary short-peduncled cymes. Calyx 5-partite; lobes c. 1.5 x 0.5 cm, obovate-acute. Corolla yellow, 5-7 cm across, funnel-shaped; tube 4-6 cm long, inflated above the middle, throat densely villous; lobes 5, orbicular. Stamens 5, included in the basal constricted part of corolla tube; anthers subsessile, c. 5 mm long, sagittate, mucronate. Ovary bilocular; stigma ovoid with a basal ring like appendage.
