Description:
Dioecious subshrubs. Leaves opposite, unequal, elliptic-ovate, 5-13 by 2.5-6 cm, base rounded, margin coarsely dentate, apex acuminate, sparsely pubescent, membranous. Flowers minute, in clusters which are in slender, c. 15 cm long, axillary spikes. Achenes compressed.
