Description:
Culms densely tufted, erect, to 70 cm. Leaf-blades flat or plicate, 5-10 x 0.2-0.4 cm, pubescent adaxially; ligule to 0.5 cm. Panicles oblong, to 14 cm. Sessile spikelet: lower glume to 0.55 cm, folded, hirsute at apex; upper glume to 0.8 cm, densely ciliate abaxially, awn to 1.6 cm; lower lemma to 0.55 cm; upper lemma to 0.6 cm , awn to 0.6 cm; callus to 0.5 cm. Pedicelled spikelet: lower glume to 0.75 cm, awn to 1.5 cm; upper glume to 0.75 cm; lower lemma to 0.75 cm; upper lemma to 0.5 cm.
