Description:
Armed shrubs; branchlets tomentose, glabrescent when old, spines erect, broad based, woody. Leaves bipinnate, 35 cm, pinnae 2-4 pairs; leaflets 2, 2-7 x 1-3 mm, oblanceolate, rachis flattered. Racemes axillary, to 15 cm; flowers yellow; pedicels 1 to 1.5 cm; bracts cauducous; calyx tube short, lobes 6 x 2 mm, unequal; petals 10 x 10 mm, obovate, clawed, villous; stamens 10, filaments unequal, villous. Pod 10 x 0.6 cm, tomentose, striated; 1-5 seeded.
