Description:
Main shoots erect; branchlets scandent, terete, hardly succulent; tubercles knob-like, distant; spines straight, to 3 cm; glochids 0. Leaves scattered, obovate to oblong, to 7 x 4 cm, subsucculent, base narrow, apex acute; petiole 1 cm. Flowers semi-inferior(on shoots of current season, hence subapical), to 4 cm wide. Sepals numerous, greenish. Petals oblanceolate-oblong, 2.5 x 1 cm, pinkish. Stamens numerous; filaments 9 mm. Style 1.2 cm; stigmas 5.
