Description:
Subshrubs, glabrous, lateral leafy branchlets to 30 cm long, spiral. Leaves 5 x 3 cm, ovate acute, rounded at base, glabrous, pale below; nerves 8 pairs, faint; petiole 3 mm long; stipules ovate, acute, green. Male pedicels 1 cm long; sepals 4 or 5, 5 x 2 mm, oblong, acute, glabrous; stamens 4, filaments combined into a column; anthers sessile. Female flowers larger on longer pedicels, usually towards the tips of the lateral branchlets; sepals 7 x 4 mm, ovate, acute. Capsule globose, glabrous; seeds trigonous, minutely transversally rugose; fruiting calyx 12 x 5 mm.
