Description:
Climbing shrubs; branches glabrous; stems terete. Leaves alternate, distichous; petioles sheathing, distinctly canaliculate, base partly convolute at nodal portions, 6-8.5 cm long; blades asymmetric, 11-8 x 4.5-7.5 cm, elliptic-oblong, coriaceous, glabrous, deep green, base obtuse, margins undulate, apex cuspidate; lateral nerves at right angles to midrib, and are connected by 2 intra-marginal collective nerves, impressed above, raised below. Spadix axillary, cylindric, curved, rusty pubescent, ca. 6 cm long; pedicles sparsely puberulous, ca 3 cm long; stipe ca. 4 mm long. Spathes oblong, apex obtuse, sparsely puberulous outside, glabrous inside, orange, ca. 10 x 4 mm. Perianth segments 6, imbricate, triangular, apex incurved, fleshy, rusty pubescent, pale yellow, 0.5 mm across. Stamens 6, opposite to perianth lobes; filaments flat, ca. 0.25 mm long; anthers subglobose, tetrathecous, dorsifixed, dehiscing by terminal pores, white, ca. 0.25 mm across. Ovary truncate, pubescent, 3-loculed, ca. 1 mm across; ovules 1 per locule, anatropous; placentas axile, style 0; stigmas globose.
